3. Ownership

In most workplaces, staff have no idea how their role fits into the bigger picture – because they aren’t told.

Most business owners fail to communicate their company’s purpose in a meaningful way – so staff can’t buy into it.

Some employees will leave if you fail to understand what motivates them. As the business owner, you must spot talent and create an environment where people are encouraged to develop.

5. Leadership

As an entrepreneur you must also be an effective leader.

You need to be a role model of the culture you want to create in your business.

In a great workplace, strong, leaders are positioned throughout the management structure. Led from the top, these managers continually develop their leadership skills to bring out the absolute best in their people.

Leadership plays a huge role in developing your company culture.
