My background is in executive coaching, Human Resources, and business and for the last 20 years I’ve studied the wide-reaching impact people make to an organisation.

Let me explain why I know this…
I was an employee when I first noticed how culture and the workplace can affect everything from performance to morale to productivity.
I was a motivated and hardworking member of the team, but my employer let me down.
They only paid lip service to the culture and values they promoted and as a result broke promises and failed to nurture my talent.
I felt disillusioned and miserable. Work was unrewarding and unsurprisingly I left. But the experience frustrated me. I knew I could have done so much more. I could have been a valuable asset to the business, but the workplace didn’t allow me to thrive.
So when I became a business owner, I remembered my employee’s insight. I knew once the HR foundations were in place; businesses that invested in their culture had the greatest chance getting the best from their people.
In fact, in a great workplace even the smallest, most inexperienced teams can smash targets, innovate wildly, and achieve amazing things. In comparison, if the workplace doesn’t inspire success, businesses struggle to achieve its potential – even when the owner works around the clock.
